Is the paint visualizer free?
Your first 3 renders are free. After that a subscription adds a monthly allowance, so a whole house, room by room, stays cheap. There are no one-off credit packs.
How accurate are the renders?
Each render is an AI paint-over guided by the color's published digital swatch. It helps you explore a color alongside your floor, trim and furniture, but it does not measure how the paint will look in your lighting. Screens and AI previews vary. Confirm with a physical sample before you buy paint.
Which paint brands are covered?
Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore and Farrow & Ball, starting with the colors people search for most in each. A Benjamin Moore or Farrow & Ball page shows the color's closest Sherwin-Williams matches by measurement, which is what people mean when they ask for a dupe.
What is LRV, and why does every page show it?
Light Reflectance Value is the share of light a color bounces back, from 0 for black to 100 for pure white. It predicts how bright a room will feel and how much a color will change from a bright wall to a shaded one, which is why it sits next to the hex on every page.
What does undertone mean?
The lean hiding under a color's main hue: the green in a gray, the yellow in a white. It is what makes two whites clash on the same wall. The site measures it the same way for every color and says it in plain words, warm or cool, and which way it leans.
Can I try a color on the outside of my house?
Yes. Upload a photo of the front of the house and the visualizer repaints the siding, leaving the roof, trim, windows and landscaping as they are. Colors the manufacturer sells for exterior use say so on their page.
How do I get a sample of a color?
Every color page has a sample link to Samplize, which sells peel-and-stick samples made with the real paint. Those are affiliate links: they never cost you more, and no seller has a say in what a page says about a color.
